What this site is

Visit Lake DeSmet is an independent travel guide and owner-listed lodging directory published by Wyo Stays LLC. It is not run by Johnson County, the State of Wyoming, Wyoming Game and Fish or any tourism board. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Information, not advice

We cite our sources and update pages, but rules, regulations, fire restrictions, water advisories, event dates and prices change. Check the linked agency or organizer before you rely on anything here. Nothing on this site is legal, safety, financial or investment advice. Water and ice carry real risk; you are responsible for your own decisions on and around the lake.

Listings and bookings

Owners supply listing details and confirm them with us. We do not take bookings or payments on this site. When you book, you book with the owner or the platform you are sent to, under their terms. We are not a party to that stay.

Links and paid links

Some links go to other websites. Links marked "(paid link)" may earn us a commission at no cost to you. See how we make money. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other sites.

Owner plans

Listed and Featured plans are described on the owner page. We may decline or remove a listing that is inaccurate, unsafe, missing a license where one is required, or that the owner asks us to take down.

Real estate and management

Real estate brokerage and property management services are offered only through Wyo Stays LLC, a licensed Wyoming real estate brokerage. Asking a question through this site does not create an agency relationship.

Text and design on this site belong to Wyo Stays LLC. Photos belong to the photographers credited on the credits page and are used under their licenses. You may quote short passages with a link back.
